Delightful place to get breakfast or lunch! This is my second time coming here and I would be lying to you if my motivation for coming here wasn't the desserts.. but of course you gotta eat a real meal first ;)

At noon on a Sunday we were seated right away, got our food pretty quickly, and were out of there within 45 minutes. I would say that counts as a win for Sunday brunch. This Rosie's location is one of the few restaurants by some apartments, and therefore the parking lot is huge and pretty full.

I ordered the Southwest Chicken sandwich with a house salad with the citrus poppyseed dressing. My friend enjoyed the turkey club with the same salad. The dressing was delightful- a nice, light dressing. The croutons on the salad tasted very fresh and were not like the basic croutons you get from a bag- you know which ones I'm talking about. The sandwich itself was pretty tasty. It had a nice chipotle mayo dressing with bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and cheese. Chicken was also nice and juicy. My friend said her club was also pretty tasty.

Now, the highlight here at Rosie's is the huge display of desserts. They have a huge assortment of fresh baked cookies, bars, scones, brownies, and more. I swear I saw like 12 different types of cookies you could get. They even have gluten free options! Last time I tried the choc peanut gf cookie and it was delicious. This time I decided to be wild and get some gluten options. My friend and I split the chocolate peanut butter bars. Taste was delicious- I will say that we were surprised by the texture. The base of the bar was not soft or flaky, but much thicker and you had to bite a little harder into it to get a piece. It was absolutely delicious, I'm not exactly sure what to compare it too. The highlight though.... the ooey gooey butter cookies. Rosie's are famous for these... AND FOR GOOD REASON. These cookies are phenomenal. It's kinda like yellow cake but in cookie form. So amazing. You absolutely need to try one of these.

    Rosie's- keep it up!

I was so eager to try Rosie's! I heard nothing but great things, and the menu looked incredible too! I went to Rosie's at 10:15 this past Sunday and was seated right away (what a great perk!).

After looking at the menu for a while I decided on the California Breakfast Sandwich with the eggs over hard; I also asked for it on a biscuit instead of the ciabatta bread it came on. When it came out the eggs were clearly done over easy (I really don't like runny yolk!) so I waited 5 minutes for the waiter to come back to ask for my order to be fixed. He agreed the eggs were undercooked.

I waited an additional 5 minutes for my order to be fixed. The service was bad - our waiter seemed to forget about us - he was tending to other groups much more frequently, and it almost seemed as if he didn't care we were there. At this point my friend was already halfway through her meal and my potatoes were cold. Mistakes happen, I wasn't too upset about that. What really made me upset was that the eggs came out over easy again, and the runny yolk (from when I checked the eggs before sending them back) was wiped off the plate. I was super disappointed that I would either have to wait an additional 10 minutes for it to be fixed AGAIN (and taking the chance that the eggs would be wrong once again), and that the kitchen couldn't be bothered to replate my food.

I chose to have a couple bites of my eggs because I didn't want to wait and have my friend finish her meal and have my potatoes be so cold they would have been inedible.

I told the cashier about my disappointment when I went to pay, and he told me that the kitchen is busy (understandable!), the chefs were still half asleep because it was early (it was 1130 am at this point), and that he would imagine I wouldn't return but promised it would be different next time. Honestly, this interaction made me even more disappointed.

The highlights? The biscuit was one of the best I ever had, we didn't have to wait to be seated, and the interior was cute.

We got sat quickly, which was awesome! Drinks and food were served quickly, with only a couple of mishaps by the server, but nothing that wasn't quickly fixed! He was so kind and did quick to help us.

The portions here are HUGE especially of their slices of bread. A friend of mine got the French toast and the portion was literally the size of a loaf of bread. As you can see, they cut their bread very thick here. The bread is DELICIOUS and made in house (according to our server). However, I wasn't able to eat all of the bread so had to eat it open-faced.

When you go, you MUST get a gooey butter cookie. This is their most popular bakery items--for good reason. Will definitely be back!

Great breakfast place in Carmel! Dog friendly on the patio and great bakery for those needing to stop by for some delicious baked carbs. Easy parking on the side of the road or in the parking lot next to the restaurant. And there is seating both up and downstairs inside. Food is better than average and we will be back.
Only down side limited coffee bar options- they didn't have half and half when I tried to order a breve- just a Cappuccino made with half and half. Only skim or 2%.

Previously I had giving this place 5 stars as I was with a friend and everything was awesome!
I went alone today, had the 3egg scramble, was delicious, staff was great. Since I was alone I thought I would check my email, etc. I asked for the password and was told (very nicely) the Rosie's doesn't provide wi-fi to their patrons. ROSIE'S DOESN'T HAVE WI-FI!!! It is 2019 for goodness sake! Management has decided to display passive aggressive behavior to satisfy some twisted PERSONAL ISSUES. I will occasionally call and check up on Rosie's to see if the problem has been resolved. Until it does, I will go elsewhere.
